Enrolment Instructions

Requirements for Virtual Classroom course:
  • Ensure you have a device with a camera and microphone so you can participate in the training.
  • Be aware - the session will be recorded and used as evidence of attendance. You will need to have your camera on for the duration of the training.

  • You will be emailed a link to the Microsoft Teams meeting prior to the training commencement. Guidance if you don't have a teams account: click here

  • You will need Adobe Reader installed on your device so you can complete the PDF Assessment https://get.adobe.com/reader/

  • You must be able to read, speak and write English fluently in order to satisfy the course requirements.

Important Note for LT/ALT enrolments: If you are a new licensee you will need to ensure you have completed an RSA course and obtained your RSA competency before you undertake your required licensee training. If you are an existing licensee, your RSA competency will automatically renew on completion of your licensee training.
Completing Licensee training will automatically renew your existing RSA endorsement, however, it does not automatically renew your RCG competency.
In NSW, all competencies expire on the same date, calculated five years from the first competency gained. When you complete Licensee training your competency expiry period will reset. At this time you must renew your RCG competency if you are working with gaming activities. This ensures all your competencies are current and expire on the same date. To retain your RCG competency, you will need to complete the online RCG refresher course. Individuals choosing to retain their RCG endorsement when completing LT must upload below one of the following RCG refresher certificates completed in the last 90 days:
  • RCG Interim Certificate (full RCG)
  • RCG Refresher Interim Certificate (RCG renewal)
  • RCG Refresher Completion Certificate (completed prior to LT)

If you do not have any of the above certificates but have completed RCG training previously (more than 90 days ago):

Email: competency.card@liquorandgaming.nsw.gov.au

and provide your Competency Card Holder (CCH) number, full name and date of birth and request access to the Refresher RCG training for your licensee course.

You will be emailed a link to complete the online RCG refresher.
Complete the training and send us a copy of the certificate.

You can complete your enrolment application prior to doing this but will not be able participate in the training until we have the appropriate certificate.

Alternatively, those electing to surrender their RCG endorsement must present a completed Surrender RCG competency declaration form when enrolling for LT. Only do this if you will not need RCG now or in the future!

Interstate workers with an appropriate RSA qualification looking to become licensees, approved managers or club secretaries in NSW, or simply wishing to upskill, can skip the NSW RSA Bridging course and simply complete Licensee Training to gain both their NSW RSA and Licensee Training competencies.

Important Note for ARCG : You must supply a copy of your Competency Card showing RCG to enrol in this course. If you hold a digital competency card, the ARCG endorsement will be automatically added to your digital card free of cost.To add the ARCG endorsement to your competency card, visit the competency card self-service portal to manage your competency card online. In NSW all competencies must expire on the same date, calculated five years from the first competency gained. For example, if your RCG competency expires in June 2024, even if you gain your ARCG competency in Jan 2023 both competencies will still have an expiration date of June 2024. This ensures all your competencies are current and expire on the same date.

The fee for this training is $385.00 (including GST).
All fees must be paid prior to the issuance of any certificates. Full details of Austrain Academy payment, concession / exemption and refund policies and procedures are available on the Austrain Academy website (www.austrainacademy.com.au), in your handbook or by contacting Austrain Academy office on 1300 20 40 20.
Austrain Academy reserves the right to cancel a course if there are insufficient participants enrolled. You may transfer courses, but will be subject to the difference between the course fees (if any). No subsidies or concessions are available for this training.

Non Accredited Training Acknowledgement:

Austrain Academy is an approved provider of these course on behalf of Liquor and Gaming NSW (L&GNSW). This training is non-accredited training and as such will not appear on your Unique Student Identifier (USI) Transcript. This training does not lead to a qualification within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Successful completion of this course will result in the award of an Interim Certificate for LT & ALT and a  Certificate of Completion for ARCG. Your details will be provided to L&GNSW.
